Scholarship / Grant Info

Scholarships/Grants available from the Kiwanis Club of Mendon:

• J. Stuart Hedges Memorial Grant
  • One $1,000 (tuition only) grant awarded annually
  • Awarded to a full-time Freshman student attending a named Michigan College/University who has graduated from Mendon High School
  • Apply during Senior year at Mendon High School (no age limit for grant)
  • Applications may be obtained through the Mendon High School Guidance Office
• Marvin Dalman Memorial Grant
  • One $1,000 (tuition only) grant awarded annually
  • Awarded to a full-time Sophomore student attending a named Michigan College/University who has graduated from Mendon High School
  • Priority consideration given to current J. Stuart Hedges Memorial Grant recipient who has finished their Freshman year
  • Apply during Freshman year at named Michigan College/University (no age limit for grant)
  • Applications may be obtained through Mendon High School or the Kiwanis Club of Mendon
• Dr. Floran Ladd Memorial Grant
  • One $1,000 (tuition only) grant awarded annually
  • Awarded to a student registered in the Licensed Practical Nurse program at a named Michigan College/University
  • Recipient must be a resident of St. Joseph County, Michigan
  • Recent high school graduates, as well as older adults, may apply (no age limit for grant)

Additional notes for all three grants

• Applications may be obtained through the Mendon High School Guidance Office (Mendon, MI) or the Kiwanis Club of Mendon
• Each grant will be paid directly to the named Michigan College/University
• The named Michigan College/University may rescind any of the grants if grade status is not in compliance with that institution, or their Student Code of Conduct
• All unused grant monies will be returned to the Kiwanis Club of Mendon
• Selection of recipients will be made by the Kiwanis Club of Mendon Grant Committee
